Ken Ackerman has nearly forty-seven years of experience in the Community Action Network. He began in rural Virginia as a VISTA volunteer, later serving as the Chief Planner at Monticello Area CAA and subsequently as the Executive Director from 1976 until 2000. Ken began development of VirtualCAP.org through the Virginia Community Action Partnership where the project launched in 2002. In 2015, VirtualCAP transferred to OACAA, where he continues to serve as the Project Manager.  The Connecticut Association for Community Action became the home for Virtual CAP in 2018. Ken is a certified peer reviewer for the Pathways to Excellence in Community Action Award and has provided interim management assistance and direct T&TA to CAAs across the U.S.
