2020 Annual (Virtual) Training Conference – FACA

The Florida Association for Community Action’s 40th Annual (Virtual) Training Conference is being held from August 12-13. 2020 Virtual Summer Conference – MCA

1st Virtual CAP Conference – CAP Utah & Region VIII CAP

The Community Action Partnership of Utah and the Region VIII Community Action Partnership are holding a Virtual CAP Conference on June 24th & 25th, which is open to participation from other regions. 2020 Winter Legislative Conference – OACAA

The Ohio Association of Community Action Agencies’ 2020 Winter Legislative Conference is being held from January 29-31. The conference includes legislative visits, movie viewing of PBS Frontline’s Poor Kids documentary, several featured speakers, 2019 Exemplary Program Awards and nearly twenty workshops under four specialized tracks.

The Mississippi Association of Community Action Agencies 2019 Annual Conference will be held from December 11-13. The conference includes two keynote speakers and sessions will be held covering 15 topics.

2020 Presidential Forum – NECAP

The New England Community Action Partnership’s 2020 Presidential Forum is being held from Jan. 16-17 in Manchester, NH. All presidential candidates have been invited to share their vision for achieving the American dream of a good quality of life and the opportunity to thrive, free from the hardships of poverty. The forum will also focus on public policies that reduce economic disparities and foster healthy, resilient, and sustainable communities, featuring Professor Kathryn J. Edin, author of $2 a Day: Living on Almost Nothing in America, Dr. john a. powell, Director, Othering & Belonging Institute, UC Berkeley, and other policy experts.

ROMA Professionals in the Field Webinar – Region I RPIC

The Association of Nationally Certified ROMA Trainers is working to establish the baselines of ROMA implementation using a checklist they call a ROMA Audit. Barbara Mooney shares experiences from NCRPs across the country who have been using the ROMA Audit tool, and what changes (outcomes) they have identified because of ROMA at their agency.

The New York State Community Action Association and the New York State Weatherization Directors Association are holding their 2019 Professional Development Conference on June 5 & 6. Two keynote speakers and sixteen breakout sessions are on the agenda.

The Missouri Community Action Network’s 2019 Annual Conference is being held from May 21–23. An awards luncheon is included and more than 25 workshop sessions are being offered.

The Community Action Association of Alabama is holding its Community Action Month Celebration Conference from May 14-17. Conference events include a Town Hall on Alabama Counts 20/20 Census and Community Action Day at the Birmingham Civil Rights District. More than twenty workshop sessions are also being offered.

The North Carolina Community Action Association’s 2019 Annual Conference is being held from May 14-17. Along with sixteen workshops and speakers, special events include ROMA Deep Dive for Certified Trainers and Implementers, NCCAA Awards Luncheon, special screening of NCCAA’s reentry documentary and the 2019 NCCAA Board Summit.

The Arkansas Community Action Agencies Association is holding its Annual Conference from May 15-17. Pre-conference training is included and conference workshops are being offered in four groupings: Agency Leadership – Family Services – Financial Management & Human Resources – Organizational Culture. ACAAA awards will also be presented.

The Illinois Association of Community Action Agencies is holding its 2017 Annual Learning Conference from May 6-8. Featuring 16 workshops grouped in six tracks. ICAA’s Families of Distinction Banquet and an Awards Luncheon are also part of the conference.

The Texas Association of Community Action Agencies is holding its 2019 Annual Conference from May 8-10 in Austin, Texas. Nineteen workshops are being offered through five tracks.

2019 Human Services Conference – MCAP

The Maryland Community Action Partnership is holding its 2018 Human Services Conference from May 6-9 in Hunt Valley, MD. More than 40 workshops are being offered grouped in five tracks.

2019 Annual Training Conference – TACA

The Tennessee Association of Community Action’s Annual Training Conference will be held from April 29 – May 1 in Knoxville, TN. The conference includes three Spotlight Speakers and nineteen workshops.

2019 Education Conference – WVCAP

The West Virginia Community Action Partnership’s 2019 Education Conference is being held from April 29 – May 1. An all-day Opioid Crisis Symposium will be followed by two days of workshops grouped under four tracks: Family – Community – Agency – Weatherization. And WVCAP Awards will be presented in three categories.

2019 Legislative Day – Michigan Community Action

MCA’s Day at the Capitol is being held on May 2nd. The agenda includes Client and Volunteer Award presentations, meetings with state legislators and a lunch buffet with state legislators and staff.

Community Action Region X Conference

The conference is being held from April 23–25 in Spokane, WA. The event will include two keynotes, two full-day plenary sessions and 32 workshops in four tracks: Data Driven Innovation for CAPs – New Era CAP Leadership – Diversity, Equity & Inclusion – ACEs & Trauma Informed Care for CAP Professionals.

Community Action Leadership Training – OACAA

OACAA has partnered with OSU John Glenn College of Public Affairs to bring our members this training series suitable for aspiring, emerging, and experienced leaders in the Community Action Network.  This series includes five full-day workshops spread out over five months.
