The Director of Community Programs has full-time responsibility for the development and the day-to-day operations of the Literacy Council and the Asset Building Program, including supervision of staff, AmeriCorps member(s) and volunteers, relations with off-site partners and regular involvement with advisory boards/coalitions to ensure that the programs function smoothly, efficiently and effectively. The Asset Building Program assists community members with building and managing assets, and the Literacy Council assists community members with improving English. Outreach and support for SNAP benefits and BFET benefits are provided by this position.
