Thrive Virginia, a 503c non-profit, Private Community Action Agency, is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Executive Director. In collaboration with community and governmental partners, the Executive Director is expected to lead the agency and create pathways to self-sufficiency within the Community Action Agency’s service area.
The Executive Director is expected to manage all aspects of the agency’s operations in alignment with the organization’s strategic plan, with an emphasis on the Whole Family Approach. The Executive Director is expected to lead the agency under the oversight of a tri-partite Board of Directors.
The candidate selected should possess a strong knowledge of community action agency administrative operations and effective delivery of Community Services Block Grant program funding. Procurement of public and private sources of funding and active engagement with communities served are essential attributes for the successful candidate. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment, a successful candidate will demonstrate eligibility for employment in the Commonwealth of Virginia and pass a criminal background check.
