People Incorporated of Virginia is now accepting applications for the position of President and CEO. This position leads multiple non-profit organizations, including a Community Action Partnership, a Community Development Financial Institution, a Community Housing Development Organization, and a regional tourism development agency. The President and CEO oversees a staff of 250 and a budget of $30 million assuring both excellence and innovation in service and strict adherence to the organization’s mission.
The CEO will provide leadership and staff support to the boards of directors, function as the liaison to the local state and federal governmental officials, to funders, to partners, and to the Community Action networks. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree with a Master’s preferred in a related field and 5 years related experience in senior management in a non-profit organization, experience may be accepted in lieu of education, a balance of education and experience is sought.
The position is based in Abingdon, Virginia, and requires substantial travel. A valid driver’s license, excellent driving record, and reliable transportation are required.
