WVNS-TV - Ghent, WV – A financial resource for West Virginia veterans needing financial help during the COVID-19 pandemic is getting some federal assistance.  The West Virginia Community Action Partnership (WVCAP) received $1,118,403 from the U.S. Department of Veterans’ Affairs towards veterans’ housing services within the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program. WVCAP Executive Director Mary Chipps said the money will be allocated towards housing over the next three months...

Payson Roundup - Payson, AZ – Gila County is getting $100,000 of State Housing Trust Fund Rental/Eviction Prevention Program Funds.  The Gila County Community Services Department will use the money to assist eligible county residents with eviction prevention rent...The community services department CAP will screen and evaluate households for financial assistance based on documentation that COVID-19 has had an economic impact resulting in an inability to pay rent, leading to possible eviction.  CAP will screen and evaluate applications for financial assistance and approve eligible households with assistance up to $2,000 per month…

Community Investment Partnership: Grants to Help Small Businesses Reopen

Community Investment Partnership
Tazewell Chamber of Commerce – The Tazewell County Chamber of Commerce and Clinch Valley Community Action is excited to announce the "Community Investment Partnership."  SMALL BUSINESSES can now apply for grant monies to assist your reopening strategy once this COVID-19 crisis is over.  While Federal and State support is appreciated, these funds will benefit small businesses and business owners without having to incur unwanted or additional debt.  The assistance provided by the Community Investment Partnership is not a loan and will not be expected to be paid back.

This program has been designed to help protect small businesses and jobs in Tazewell County and help our local economy recover after a lengthy hiatus from operation and revenue….The Tazewell County Chamber of Commerce and Clinch Valley Community Action are here to help and assist all efforts to recover from this current economic climate.
