Community Action IMPACT: An Overview of ROMA, Community Assessment and Strategic Planning
Target Audience: ALL Community Action staff and Board of Directors members, especially Coordinator level and up and those who have recently joined the network.
This pre-recorded presentation is strongly recommended for Community Action Boards and staff at all levels to gain a basic understanding of the framework used to manage Community Action Agencies and to tell the story of how we work to change lives. Watch to learn the importance of understanding, capturing, and sharing the impact of our work using the Results Oriented Management and Accountability system. The recording also touches on new information related to ROMA Next Generation.

CAAs in Massachusetts have begun developing their Community Needs Assessment Reports and Strategic Plans. Boards of Directors play an integral role in the strategic planning process. This pre-recorded presentation is two half-hour segments that provide information about the CSBG requirements of Boards in the strategic planning process with examples of best practices from CAAs and other nonprofit organizations. This presentation is intended for Board members and CAA senior staff and can be used at Board meetings as a training activity.
