2019 IACAA Annual Learning Conference
May 5-7 in Springfield, IL

The Income Qualified South Committee meeting was created to assist in the design and evaluation of income-qualified energy efficiency programs, pursuant to the Future Energy Jobs Act (FEJA). Committee participants share their feedback on how to make these programs more effective for IQ customers and program administrators. The Committee consists of Ameren Illinois, implementers and community-based organizations.

Illinois Represented by CCRPC Chief Executive Officer at the 2019 National Community Action Immigration Summit
Dr. Dalitso Sulamoyo, Chief Executive Officer of Champaign County Regional Planning Commission, recently presented as one of panelists at the historic National Community Action Summit on Immigration and Poverty. The lively session discussed the impact of living in a community without legal status, barriers facing immigrant families, and making a case for a humanitarian response to the immigration crisis. Additionally, racial bias and cultural stigma and culturally informed strategies for navigating institutional barriers and social isolation were also discussed.
New Pilot Program Underway
Indoor Climate Research & Training's (ICRT) weatherization training center received a grant with the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Office (DCEO WIOA) office to pilot a weatherization auditor internship program. This program is currently underway with a small group of participants, and is expected to conclude in the winter of 2020…
