CAP Utah is seeking an experienced leader to build upon past successes by taking the organization to new levels of performance. The ideal candidate for this position will have a passionate commitment to ending poverty in Utah as demonstrated by their experience, education, and volunteerism - see position announcement for information about CAP Utah.
Reporting to the board of directors, the executive director will properly engage the board members in the work of CAP Utah; manage operations and finances; and represent CAP Utah to stakeholders. The executive director will also be primarily responsible for providing training and technical assistance to Utah’s Community Action Agencies (CAAs) with an end goal of assisting those agencies to assess community needs, increase community collaborations, implement the requirements of federal CSBG Organizational Standards and the performance management system ROMA, and increase local agencies’ capacity to deliver on the promise of community action – Helping People, Changing Lives.
Preference will be given to those with a knowledge of local, state, and federal legislation; programs and resources that relate to the programs and objectives of the Community Action Network; and knowledge of and/or experience with the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG), Results Oriented Management and Accountability (ROMA), and the history and mission of Community Action Network.
