Seeks Chief Executive Officer
June 25, 2018 deadline
Responsible for overall management and operation of the New York State Community Action Association to enhance the capacity of member organizations. Develop effective communication system to provide public information to educate legislators, general public, and other providers regarding the strengths and abilities of the Association’s members to deliver services. Create state and national alliances and partnerships that strengthen NYSCAA. Develop a diverse and adequate resource base. Reports to the New York State Community Action Association Board of Directors.
Educational and Experiential Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Social Work or Public Administration required. Will consider relevant experience in management of human services and other administrative responsibilities. Three to five years leadership experience required.
Strong team-building, negotiating and consensus-building skills and the ability to motivate employees and Association members are a must. Experience with a board of directors is a plus. Strong knowledge and ability to lead Information and Technology strategies to strengthen the Network.
Primary Work Site
NYSCAA Office in the Capital District.
Travel is required regularly throughout New York State and, on occasion, nationally.
