From the CEO
As Community Action Month ends, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your efforts each day to realize the promise of Community Action. In these divisive times, Community Action is more important than ever. Your work truly fulfills each tenant of the Promise of Community Action.
Community Action changes people's lives - where there is trauma, community action inspires healing and resiliency. Embodies the spirit of hope - where there is isolation, community action creates engagement. Improves communities - where there is scarcity, community action builds opportunity. Makes America a better place to live - where there is blight, community action partners for community renewal and revitalization. We care about the entire community - where there is hatred and fear, community action sows love and trust. We are dedicated to helping people help themselves and each other - where there are challenges, community action finds strengths and builds skills.
Community Action Month emphasizes to the public and policy makers the impact of our work on the micro and macro level...
