Overview

Join us, and our colleagues from non-profit, government, community-based organizations and businesses, to explore the intersection between health care and poverty at our 12th Annual Symposium on Poverty & Economic Security.

Attendees will hear medical professionals, low income people and Community Action Agencies discuss the challenges and successes they have had in improving access to affordable, high quality health and dental health services.  We will also provide an update on New York State’s new anti-poverty effort, the Empire State Poverty Reduction Initiative (ESPRI.)

Our Keynote Speaker this year is Mary Otto, author of Teeth: The Story of Beauty, Inequality, and the Struggle for Oral Health in America.  The first 100 registrants are receiving an audio copy of her book .
