Ohio Association of Community Action Agencies
Foundation Level Seminar Series 2017
The foundation of a pyramid determines its strength, stability, and height to which it can grow. Similar to a pyramid, Community Action Agencies need solid foundations to maintain strong organizations and help reach goals. The Foundation Level Seminar Series was created for entry-level and new staff, and the series focuses on core skill sets to empower attendees in their work helping low-income people. The series gives opportunities for staff to develop both personally and professionally to strengthen the agency as a whole - see event web page for further information about the FLSS.
The area and application of diversity in the workplace has been an area that many employers and employees struggle with on a daily basis and some even experience nervousness and apprehension when the issue of diversity is encountered in their daily workplace. Many employers strive to create a career employment and community service environment in which the goal to build trust and collaboration among people and groups of people of different origins, cultures, age, gender, and experiences is widely shared, embraced, encouraged. This philosophy has the ability to create opportunities for a positive, successful, and meaningful working relationship - see event web page for further information on this training and on Trent Grooms who will be conducting the session.
