From the CEO

Thanks to the hard work of the NYSCAA and NYSWDA staff and support from Community Action staff throughout New York who helped with planning the June 2017 Professional Development Conference, this event was once again a great success... we at NYSCAA are busy with the work of planning for the Region II Regional Performance and Innovation Conference scheduled for September 18 and 19...

NYSCAA & NYSWDA's June 2017 Professional Development Conference

Over 200 participants attended including staff from 39 of New York State’s Community Action Agencies!  Keynote speaker Brian Southwell discussed the link between social science research and Community Action.  There were 15 workshops offered on Community Action topics including ROMA Next Generation, Partnerships, Bridges Out of Poverty, Communications Across Barriers, Using Community Needs Assessment Data and more...

NYSWDA also held nine workshops on various weatherization topics.  NYSCAA and NYSWDA each honored award winners during the Annual Dinner...
