2017 Community Action Month Webinar

On Thursday, April 20th at 2:00PM the Community Action Partnership will host a Community Action Month webinar...The webinar will highlight special events and activities that your agency can engage in all month long.

Lawrence County Community Action Partnership Awarded for Summer Food Service

The Turnip the Beet Award, by the USDA Food and Nutrition Service, recognized outstanding Summer Meal Program sponsors across the nation who worked hard to offer high quality meals.  USDA announced, nationwide, the recognition of LCCAP's Summer Food Service Program at the silver level for working diligently to offer high quality meals that are appetizing, appealing, and nutritious during the summer months.  Congratulations LCCAP!

Montgomery County Community Action Development Committee Expands Fatherhood Program

Thanks to a partnership developed between Montgomery County Community Action Development Committee (CADCOM) and their friends at the Pottstown Cluster of Religious Communities, CADCOM’s fatherhood services are now being offered in Pottstown on a weekly basis.  Some of those fatherhood services include: The Fatherhood Empowerment Center which helps men with criminal records overcome the challenge of securing meaningful employment to support their children; men and dads are currently engaged in CADCOM’s "24/7 Dad" workshop and their "Job Seeker" sessions; and through the weekly "Core Strengthening" program, a group of young men receive guidance, build skills, and are challenged to do the internal and external work necessary to realize success and healthy relationships at school, in community, at home, and in life in general.
