Advocating in DC
Last week, NYSCAA's CEO Karla Digirolamo, headed down to Washington, D.C. with others from the Community Action Network to attend the National Community Action Foundation's 2017 Legislative Conference. NYSCAA scheduled meetings with Senator Gillibrand's and Senator Schumer's office to talk about our network and issues affecting low-income individuals...
After providing a half-day workshop for the executive management team of the Niskayuna School District last summer, NYSCAA was hired to provide poverty awareness training to all staff at Niskayuna's five elementary schools...

In addition to NYSCAA's CSBG grant, we also receive direct funding from the Department of Health and Human Services as the lead agency in Region II for the federal Regional Performance and Innovation Consortium (RPIC) grant.
