Mountain Community Action Program announces the job opening for position of the Executive Director for the non-profit agency. Operating the programs of Head Start, Weatherization, Outreach (CSBG), Project Discovery, and Emergency Home Repair, this corporation serves the low-income residents of Smyth, Wythe, and Bland Counties in the Southwestern area of Virginia. This agency has been under the guidance of a dedicated board of directors made up of 18 members from the public, private, and client sector from the service area.
Overall Job Duties/Responsibilities
Responsible for the total effective operation of all programs, assuring terms of funding grant/contracts. The Director is the policymaker, general supervisor, and spokesman for the agency. The Director takes action to commit the agency in all areas, other than those assigned by the Board of Directors.
