Message from Karla Digirolamo, NYSCAA CEO – From time to time, NYSCAA reaches out to member agencies asking for information about their agency and community…In just the last few weeks, with your help, we have worked on testimony on seniors and poverty for a legislative hearing, participated in a collaborative effort on services for homeless children, reached out to you about the survey being conducted for the federal Administration of Children and Families and helped support networking and information sharing among CAA agencies…
…two years ago NYSCAA developed the NYS Community Action Resource Guide in an effort to have a short, accessible guide to the services provided by New York’s 49 Community Action Agencies…

We are sad to announce that Jessica Collier will be leaving NYSCAA to take a position as the Senior Associate for Public Policy at the NYS Association of Health Care Providers. Jessica has taken NYSCAA’s policy work to exciting, new places including creating our legislative information drops and coordinating our statewide advocacy days and she has been a key part of NYSCAA’s RPIC team, coordinating our annual conference and helping us coordinate the Region’s T/TA agenda…
