Lancaster-Fairfield Community Action Agency dedicates Rutherford House
In late 2004, Lancaster-Fairfield Community Action Agency (LFCAA) was awarded the bid to purchase the 25-acre campus of the former Fairfield County Children's Home, which has been home to the agency since 1984. Shortly after that, wheels were set in motion to outline a campus development plan that would further the agency's mission and sustain the site's legacy of serving struggling Fairfield County families for generations to come – read more.
Housing program builds hope for Frankfort family
Wednesday's stormy clouds parted just long enough for Amy Wilburn and her family to cut the ceremonial ribbon in front of their brand new home. Wilburn's home is the 50,000th built from a program through a partnership of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Community Action Commission (CAC) of Fayette County and the United Way. TCAP celebrates 50th Anniversary
Trumbull Community Action Program (TCAP) observed its 50th anniversary on May 18, 2015…The event was an informal indoor/outdoor celebration open to the public, where guests could enjoy games, food and entertainment. Over 200 people attended the celebration – read more.
CSBG Reauthoritzation, HR1655
In March HR 1655, the CSBG Reauthorization bill, was introduced in the House of Representatives. It was sponsored by Rep. Michael Fitzpatrick and had seven original co-sponsors. The bill is now up to 35 co-sponsors and NCAF is working hard to get it through Congress – view one-page summary or full bill.
